Awesomepia Completes Patent Registration for XR-Converged ‘Intelligent Fire Detection System’

12.05.2025

Awesomepia has completed patent registration for its ‘Intelligent Fire Detection System’, which converges XR technology. In normal times the system provides AR/XR content for tourists, and in an emergency it automatically switches to an AI-powered unmanned surveillance mode. Using AI object detection and fire-diagnosis models, it detects flames and smoke, then automatically zooms in on the fire area with pan-tilt control and high-magnification zoom. Cross-validation across multiple cameras and spread-path prediction reduce false alarms and enable a proactive response. Awesomepia plans to apply the technology to its Grid Map AI-based safety and security platform and expand it into wildfire prevention, smart cities and safety management at tourist sites.

Awesomepia Selected for KOCCA's ‘2026 AI Content Production Support’ Program

12.05.2025

Awesomepia has been selected for the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA)'s ‘2026 AI Content Production Support’ program. Together with SK Planet, it will produce AI- and AR-based ‘learncation’ content in which visitors experience traditional Korean occupations. Without installing an app, visitors complete Joseon-era job missions through web AR, and AI recommends occupations that suit their personality. Using generative AI, the experience also creates personalized Joseon-era job photo cards that combine each visitor's face with traditional attire. Building on on-site validation at the Korean Folk Village, Awesomepia plans to expand into K-tourism, global theme parks and the edutech market.
